Kingsley Pooler

I taught for 44 years at the following KZN schools: Maritzburg College, Ixopo High School, Linpark, and Treverton College. Since retiring in 2014 I have tutored pupils from several Pietermaritzburg schools on a one-to-one basis.

It is enjoyable imparting any knowledge and experience that I may have gained, with people in this way. The two subjects I offer are English and Geography both of which I majored in, in obtaining my BA degree from Rhodes University.

Teaching English is particularly rewarding. Many of the books and poems in English literature have become my lifelong friends. Geography is also such an interesting subject that is very relevant to our world.
